house update... :(

Well, today was supposed to be a big day for us. We were going to have a new house by now. But the not-so-young-and-chipper guy who's doing the septic couldn't get it done by today soo.... we have to wait till next Thursday!!! I am very upset but God is still sovereign over everything and I know he has this all planned out even if I can't see it!

So I know my posts are getting less and less interesting but I had a very interesting whim the other day and decided I wanted to make a teddy bear. I finally convinced Mom to let me have one of our old bleach-stained towels and his nose is made out of one of those ecno-friendly grocery bags. :) I found buttons for his eyes at Joanne's for 25 cents! I was pretty excited. So here he is.. I still need a name for him so if any of you creative people think of anything, please comment! :)

love. :)

Dear readers,
My life has been very busy recently. I really don't know where to start. I guess with the house, well the settlement is supposed to be this Friday (as in the one coming up) but the guy who's working on the septic system is not exactly young and chipper and he's sort of taking a long time. So it might not get done by then, pushing settlement still another week. So please pray if you think about it that everything goes smoothly. :) Thanks. Oh yeah, and moving day is the 22nd of August. Lord-willing. While this whole house thing is going on, we are packing. And still packing. It's not actually a hard job, just sort of boring unless you are packing photo albums. :) That's fun. Anyway we just had a meeting last night for Brandywine Grace, and I am extremely excited. I know God is going to save so many lost souls and I can't wait to be a part of it! Also, I am really loving the fact we get to be in the Demi's community group! That is going to be awesome. :) I have really enjoyed getting to know Talyn and Emma and of course I already knew Zoe but she is still becoming a closer friend. We are pretty crazy together, if that is the right word. :) As an example, last night we saw there was an empty bowl of pop-corn with at least 2 cups of left-over kernels in it so we thought we should make the some more pop-corn. :p ahhemm. So we walked to the kitchen and got out the necessities. We were going to use olive oil but apparently the church doesn't have olive oil so we used butter. We started cooking the kernels in a gigantic pot and soon we had a some-what burnt success. It was pretty exciting. :) Actually, it was really exciting. Then we got to eat our hard work till our throats were black and we were breathing smoke. :) It was a very fun time and I really love those girls! Another exciting thing that is happening in my life right now is Youth Camp 09!!! It is going to be so awesome and I am so looking forward to meeting God, growing closer to him, and learning from the messages. And I am especially excited about getting baptized. :) God is so amazingly good to me, and I can't wait to tell others about it! For any of you who care I am on blue and proud of it. Also, for everyone who does and doesn't care we are going to be dominating and creaming so come prepared. :) That is pretty much a summary of my life right now. I think I better get this wrapped up because it is getting pretty long and I need to go pack. :P Thanks for reading...

care group

Well, tonight was our last care group meeting. We went to the Allen's group. There are only 3 other couples that go, and none of them had kids younger than like 30 or so. But I am going to miss it. Kt and I did worship (fun memories) and all us girls had the whole basement to ourselves to do palatis and run in circles and watch old disney movies and such. :) But anyway tonight beat all. Kt and I had three songs picked, and I was going to play two of them and help sing for the other (not that I have a tolerable voice, but no one knew it) So anyway we get to the one that no one knows and we start, at first it went ok but then we got all messed up and everyone was singing the chorus while kt was playing a verse. It was pretty funny. But it all turned out ok. After worship, the Allen's gave me, kt and ems gift cards to itunes for doing worship. I was really excited and then remembered I don't even have an ipod so now kt is trying to steal my gift card from me. It won't happen though. :) Then we went outside and played Frisbee forever and then watched e.t. Sad movie. Then we got snack and kt and I tried to do splits in the living room. And failed terribly. On the way home we all were sharing memories of past care groups. And celebration and all that. Oh gosh I have so many memories. Like Emma jamming her thumb, and the Mutter's dog, and camping!!!! It's really starting to feel real that we are leaving, and moving. It is all seeming to happen so fast. There are so many things I am going to miss, but so many things I am looking forward too too! :) If you think about it, pray that everything with my favorite house goes smoothly. The settlement is going to be on the 31st and we are (Lord willing) moving on the 22nd. Of August. Thanks. :)

Indescribable, uncontanable, you placed the stars in the sky and you know them by name. You are amazing God!!!

Silhouetted Sunset

This is a watercolor painting I just finished. I'd love your thoughts and advice!

When I see the beauty
Of the sunset’s glory
Amazing artistry
Across the evening sky
When I feel the mystery
Of a distant galaxy
It awes and humbles me
To be loved by a God so high

What can I do but thank you
What can I do but give
My life to you
Hallelujah, hallelujah
What can I do but praise you
Every day make everything I do
A hallelujah, a hallelujah
Hallelujah

God's sovereinty

I know I have been posting a lot, I've found a lot to post about. Well this post is going to be about God's sovereinty. I was going to post about how we went rasberry-pickington the highway for girls night but kt is posting about that and is telling me i can't cuz she is so I think I'll be nice. :)

Anyway, throughout this whole situation w/ the churchplant, I have needed to trust God. There have been times when I had no idea what could possibly happen next, but God being the mighty God that he is always had a plan. And not just any plan, but one that was better than anything I could even dream of! He has provided so miraculously for us. Like just tonight, we got a call from a family in the church (the Caveledges) saying they are willing to rent our house! I am so excited because I know their little boys are going to be a great influence to a lot of our little boy neighbors. :)Also, he has provided a house for us that is just perfect for our family. Even when I thought we weren't going to get it cuz of the whole septic system deal, God has a better plan and knows what is best. :D He is just amazing. Mom and I were just marveling at how amazing it is that this is all working out in God's perfect timing. He is amazing.

hmm??

I have this gray striped fabric that I am dying to make a shirt out of but I am at a sewer's block and can't think of any design. I would just go buy a pattern like any normal person but I hate using patterns and they hate me so I never use them and I'm not about to start now. I was thinking maybe just a v-neck w/ a pocket or something???? And ideas would be greatly welcome. :)

pillows. :)

ok so i am officially crazy. I made pillows for our new room and spend all afternoon on them. I just finished them and realized i don't like the colors so now we are going to have a different color scheme for our room. A little less bold i think. So if anyone wants them , you r welcome to them! There are three big ones, and four little ones. One of the big ones has flowers on it, and the other ones have one side that is blue, and the other is orange. :)

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. :)

love.

You know how some days God just gives you things that totally bless you and make you feel totally blessed? Well I got one of those things today. We were in Lancaster and on our way home and Mom saw this sign for a discount fabric store. So we stopped and went in and it was like walking into a candy store. It was a little bit of heaven. There was fabric everywhere and they had a whole room with fabric that was only a dollar a yard!!!! <3 So I ended up getting this really cute gray striped fabric for a shirt, some polka dotted blue fabric for pillows for our new room, some orange fabric for more pillows, and some other realy fun fabric for another summer shirt. It was a blast.
Ems and I decided (yah, finally) on a color scheme for our new room. We are going to make the walls like aqua blue, have white comforters, accent w/ blue and orange pillows, and we have all white furniture. I am very excited. :)
btw i'll post pics of the fabric as soon as our camera is charged. :) Cuz it's somewhat dead right now...

1 Corinthians 10:13-14

"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry."

Wealth is death. Power, destruction. Education, worthless. Worldly Love, empty. And fame, nothing. Compared to God's Mercy and Love all of these things are nothing. Do not follow them, rather follow the road of escape that God has given us. To not stray away from it.

Praise God! :)

Well, it's very complicated but we almost lost my favorite house yesterday. I'll try and explain. The septic system was shot so they were going to have to get a new one, and Dad offered to pay for half of the new one ($3,000) It ended up that they have a special septic system and it would cost 13,000 to fix instead of 6,000. Soooo the sellers asked dad if we would be willing to pay half of that and we decided no way so basically it came down to weather or not the seller's were willing to pay that much. If they were willing, they had to sign a paper by 12:00 this morning (as in mid-night) if they weren't, then the whole thing would be off and we would have to keep...on....looking. Yipes. We all prayed like crazy yesterday and last night. It was 10:00 and we still hadn't heard anything. It pretty much seemed like it was all over (I mean who would wait to sign some paper till late at night) but I decided I was going to trust God and believe that he has this thing all planned out for our family no matter what happens with the house. He really does. I mean, think about it... it's silly of us to worry about things when God already has everything planned out and it is a better plan than we could ever come up with. Seriously. So this morning I woke up and Mom told me the news. The seller's had signed the paper (get this) at 11:55 last night. :) They literally waited till the last minute. Isn't God amazing? So now we are going ahead with buying the house and the settlement (if nothing else goes wrong) is going to be the 20th of July!!!!! And we'll most likely move at the end of Aug. :) I love my savior.

Matthew 6:26-27

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
