Happy 2010 :)

Well it's 12:24 and I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open. :P I know, it's a terrible day to pick to be tired but sometimes you just can't help it. Anyway tonight we stayed home and watched Valkerie, played catch phrase and boggle. It was fun I suppose but not exactly enthralling if you know what I mean. Someday I wanna go to nyc for new years. :) That'd be enthralling...

so I figured that if I write out my new years resolutions here i'd be more reminded to keep them. :) here goes:


1. Keep Christ number one
2. Have devotions every single morning
3. Make it a point to stay in touch with old friends :)
4. Do at least 100 crunches every morning and every night
5. Eat less sweets ;)
6. Walk the dog at least once a week
7. Sew more
8. aheem keep my room clean.
9. save up and buy something useful
10. jog once a week.

Christmas

Pologies for not posting. Life's been busy. Well it's kind of hard to believe that Christmas is over. :P It seems like it wen by soo quickly. I miss it already. Anyway, i got no exciting present this yr so let's skip that part. But I must add that I was freshly reminded of God's gift to me, a wretched sinner who deserves wrath. Is case you didn't know, he gave his one and only son for me to die on a wooden cross to forgive my sins so that I might spend eternity with him. THAT is better than ANY gift I could ever receive on earth. So right now I feel like the most blessed person in the world. :) And unlike earthly gifts, which we quickly lose interest in, or gift cards that run out of money, this gift is redeemable every single day of my life. :) God continues to forgive me no matter what, and i am so grateful to have him as my savior.

So, stuff that's new? Well for Christmas eve we went to my Grandparents for dinner cuz it was my Mom-moms b-day and they live in Springfield (our old neighborhood) which is like 45 mins away so we had to skip going to the bg Christmas Eve service. I was very very upset. But God has a plan and purpose for everything, even if we don't see it. :) Christmas morning we opened presents, (pics:) http://picasaweb.google.com/becky.lindsay.mac/ChristmasMorning# then went back to my Grandparents house for Christmas dinner. And plus we visited like all our other ants ad uncles and cousins who live in Springfield too. I didn't find anything really good tho. :( And we went to target and walmart to exchange stuff. On Sunday was church, which was awesome cuz i haven;t been to church in two weeks cuz it was cancelled last week. He ended up just sitting and doing work on his laptop for like 3 hours while we bowled. well.

I was intending on posting this like a week ago but things don't turn out how you intend them to usually.. so. Here is the project I'm working on right now w/ Mrs. G. :) As I said in like two posts ago, it's going to be twelve 3 by 3 inch watercolors of a theme. I picked violins as my theme. :) So far I only have 6 done, and I'm working on the other 6. So here they are, I'd love your advice and criticism!

I wish I had time for a nice long post about my glorious weekend but I don't because we just got a call from our relatives in Vermont this monring saying they are going to be staying at our house tonight. God's grace and the Eberly kids. :)

so last night I got to bbsit the Eberly's and the Franks. It twas much fun. :) We spend all night playing every little kid game imaginable (hide a seek, mr. fox what time is it? duckyducky-quack-quck... to name a few) :) Then I attempted to put the Franks to bed and us cool kids stayed up and played kempts till 9. Then I chilled and finished my book and wasted time on the computer.

<3 those kids. :)





Now for my little story. :) So I'm broke, and have no money to finish Christmas shopping which is a bit of a prob. Our family rule is u can't get a job till your 16 so I'm usually stuck scrounging for bbsitting jobs right before Christmas. funfun. Anyway, right before I left to go to the Eberly's, I was going through my purse and found an old check for 36 dollars made out to me. It was from bbsitting someone else like 9 monthes ago that I forgot to cash!!! i was like, wow thanks God! :) He's so nice. So after I go babysitting, I get home and Mom is like, "Becky, you left that check you found earlier today on the ground." I had it in my purse ever since I found it tho so it was impossible I left it on the ground. So I look at the check Mom found and sure enough, it is a different check or 25 dollars that I had forgotten to cask like 6 monthes ago. :D wow is right. Moral of my little story, God always provides for what you need. :) And remember to cash your checks.

Life as Becky sees it.

Has anyone noticed that Sue (glee) has gotten a whole lot meaner? I mean she used to be actually kind of nice. But now she's down right horrid. :P shivers. Anyway, recently I've been working on some very fun art homework. :) I got to pick a theme and paint twelve 3 by 3 inch pictures of that theme. In ALL different types of art form (abstract, realism, 3-d..) it's too much fun. :) I'm hoping I'll have it done by next Wenday so I'll post as soon as I get around to it.

Right now, me and my brilliant sister are working on a song for our Youth Christmas party. I realize that right now, as I am writing this, cfc is having their party which is somewhat depressing. :(Because I'm missing it. But at the same time I am super siked for ours! :D We are going to have skits (that were practicing on Thurs night) and icebreakers and music and all that jazz. u should be jealous. :) I've been saying that alot.

Today I was thinking about Covenant. Random, i kno. But I have so many memories there sometimes it's hard to remember that I don't go to that church anymore. I almost cried realizing that in a year or two I won't even be able to go to compass or cc anymore. Actually I did cry. All those dear friends that I won't really have the opportunity to see anymore. It's very sad. But I kno that it's all in God's plan and strong friendships last no matter what so. But still.

back to the present.

Isn't God amazing to provide for us? I was just thinking about this today. I mean, we are sinners who deserve His wrath but he didn't only save us from eternal judgement, but he provides our everyday needs. Like how undeserving are we of that?? But He doesn't care, he still loves us enough to care for us. :)

Just had to add that thought in there. :) Well this week has been normal (i kr, thats why im posting about it??) . Mon, had school and more school then Mon night I went to cfc for Stage crew. Then on Tues morning we had bg girls prayer :) and then I had more school then Tues night I went to cfc again for stage crew which was loads of fun cuz Mrs. Snyder didn't really need us so we ended up playing hide and seek in the dark. ( were so mature) it.was.scary. Yah, I never thought the flushing of a toilet would be scary but when everything is dark and there are like red lights glowing trust me it is. So after that I went to the end of cg and was just in time for the bestest part of the yc video. :) <3 Then we all chilled and watched the skits. It was fun. Then, this morning I woke up and went to the Gemmells for an art lesson which was very fun. And I <3 Rach Gemmell. And Shan. So after that I came straight home and then had a bq pratice for 3 hours straight. (yipes) now i am posting this. funfun.

Thanksgiving and the past two days. :)

Well on Thursday we baked and cooked all day and it was fun.





Then we had Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, and old cousins over for dinner. :) We attempted to all play celebrity which kinda failed since our grandparents didn't know who Robert Pattinson is and we didn't kno who Johnny Cash is. (well, we knew just not real well) So besides that fail it was all fun. :D pics...

Then, after everyone left I didnt 500 jumping-jacks to burn off all the turkey then we all went on the couch to watch Cristmas with the Kranks (best movie, must watch) :D Then we all went to bed. On friday, we didn't go shopping cuz kt had to work and plus we woke up late. I was so dissapointed I could have cried. But at like 3 we went to our old neighbor's house and ate dinner and played cards and sang defing gravity. Tucker drove us there:

Singing was a fail. (cuz I sang) yah, try hitting that high f. it's.hard. I was going to put the video up of me and kt singing but after watching it once again I think I'll spare u. :) I went off tune more than thrice. Oh and did I mention that she has two adorable kitties? Thier names are Jingle and Jangle, but we call the chubster and pretty baby. :) pics below




So we slept over till the next day which was fun besides the fact I kept getting kicked in the face by my loverly sister kt. She get's pretty cranky at 1 in the morning. So on Saturday we woke up late, watched cartoons, and went shopping!!! We went to the mall and I got a little depressed. I felt like a million dollars walking in there with my 18 bucks and once we stopped in the first store I realized I'd be lucky to get a gift bag for that much. haha, no I'm eggagerating but most of the stores were insanly expensive. :P I ended up getting Ems and Kt their Christmas presents tho which was a win. After the mall we ate dinner then went to a few other stores then went home and played monopoly. bad idea. Let's just say I didn't do so snazzy and got in a real bad mood and scowled at everyone who glanced my way. We got pretty darn competetive. :P

But it's chill cuz it's an inside seam so u can't even see it. :) Then I was looking forward to re-layering my hair until Kt came in asking me to fix her shirt she wanted to wear tomorrow (of course these things always happen at 11:00 Saturday night) so I did that because I love her then I had to wash all our outfits for tomorrow and I still am thinking I want to layer my hair. So right now I am blogging because I am waiting for the laundry to get done washing so I can throw it in the dryer. funfun. I think I'll draw this post to a close tho as it is getting rather long. :) Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving! :D

new room. :)

Well this weekend us girls had a whim. We decided, or rather I decided I want my own room. After much ahhemm arguing and bickering me and Ems finally decided kt could have our room (the biggest one) cuz she has the most stuff. :p I wasn't too happy but oh well. life goes on. So I ended up w/ kt's sunshine yellow room and ems got the old guest room. Here are some very grainy and bad pics of my new room. :) I kno it looks rather vintage right now, what with my sewing corner and all but eventually someday perhaps I'll get around to painting it, and then I'll take more pics! :D funfun.

Isn't God good to put us where we are? I mean, sometimes even tho it's sort of hard to figure out His plan in the beginning, you can always look back and marvel at how he worked. :) I was reminded of this today, just thinking of where i was a year ago, and how I never even imagined that I could be where I am now! So today is Sunday, and what a lovely day it was. woke up at 6:30 to go early w/ Dad to set up @ church, (not so lovely) then had a blast dancing down the empty hallways w/ my fav little sis. After that, we set up and all that jazz then I had another blast singing the sweater song w/ the girls to no on in particular. ;P Then there was the message, which was wonderfully encouraging, and then we had a youth mt. where we ate pizza and drank soda. :D Oh and Mr. Lynch went through the youth schedule for the yr. :) I got pretty siked! We r having our own Christmas party, and in June we r all going camping! U should be jealous. So after that we left and went home and chilled, cleaned, and chilled. Then we all headed out to Lancaster to get our Christmas pics taken at walmart. ( I still don't get why we went all the way out there but who cares) and the lady who took our pics didn't have any eyelashes or eyebrows. :P That is probly a very mean thing to say but it's true and I'm not dissing her in any way I'm just saying. So tomorrow is Christmas craft workshop (yay!) then I'm helping w/ stage crew. It shall be another fun day. Well i'm gonna wrap this post up as it is getting late and I have to finish organizing my room. :D A couple more things I want to add tho...

das Wochenede

Well just so you all know, that snazzy title means weekend in German. :D (felt the need to make up for not knowing 'goodbye') So, just like my title, my weekend was very snazzy. :) It started out on Friday, when I sewed pretty much all day trying to figure out costumes for the costume/ b-day party we went to that night. Kt was a Greek/Roman lady and we made her costume out of an old white sheet. It was quite difficult trying to make it not look like a sheet so that took awhile. Then (the fun part) me and Emma were thing one and thing two (kudos to the Adam girls for the brilliant idea) (and Jackie) but we had no red pants. So we ended up going to goodwill and getting these xxl ones (the only ones they had) so that's what I was sewing. But they turned out fine and we had lot's and lot's of fun. As in not shopping for windows, but like shopping without buying anything. ;P Then my loverly sister Katie took me shopping for my b-day. :D We went to bath and body works, watched Kung-Fu Panda at peace-a-pizza and read magazines on Robert Pattinson at Barne's and Noble. I also scored w/ a very cute shirt off clearance at Old Navy. :D smiles. So that is how I spend my Saturday, oh yes and when me and Kt got home all us three girls worked out to the radio for like a half hr. intense. <3 sista workouts. Now it's Sunday and i just got back from church which was wonderful, and we are all going to Shadyside park for a picnik. So so long. :D

warning: this post is pretty much just me rambling.. so read at your own risk

Would you like to hear about my weekend? I thought so. :) Well it all starts off on Friday, except nothing fun happened on Friday so we'll skip that day. Saturday, I woke up early (bleh bleh ad bleh again) and we went to yard sales. Sometimes yard sales are worth going to (if you find a good one) and sometimes they are not. This one was a good one or else I would not be writing about it. So they had this fill-a-bag for a dollar thing and I was in luck (even tho i don't beleive in luck) because the clothes the were selling (yes, CLOTHES!!! :D ) were mostly all my size and BRAND NAME!!! So I got a bunch of fun cute clothes there. Then we headed on over to Kohls where I got this cute shirt thing that doesn't fit. But it was on clearance so i'll just fix it to my size. It was too cute to not get. ;) After Kohls we went to target and got jackets, gloves, and boots and I also found an adorable plaid short that I got for me. But once I tried it on (after we got it) I looked in the mirror and I reminded myself of a bell. It was one of those ones that has pleats on top then gets really baggy at the waist. So I have a feeling one of my sissy's (ahemm Katie) shall be stealing it from me. Which is ok I suppose since I sort of always steal her accesories. :D But anywho we saw the Ruth's at Target and I had great fun conversing w/ Rach about hats and such girly things. Then we all came home, happy and satisfied. Not that shopping can satisfy you, but it's pretty fun. :) Well after that we cleaned every nook and cranny of our house which was a very thrilling experience as you can image. yep. Then we went to the play Peter Pan at DC. I must mention that Bailey was there and she made the whole experience much more interesting. :D <3 We (me and Kt) challenged her that she couldn't find 5 ppl she new there. (she kept boasting she knew everyone) and it was much fun watching her talk to random ppl. :D Me and kt and Jackie were talking and we told Jackie that since she had so many ppl to talk to she should go talk to them. So she left us and just stood in the middle of the room CRACKING up (dont worry this is during intermission) cuz she was all alone. I laughed so hard i could have died. Come to think of it, I don't really see why it was so funny for her but she laughed anyway. Then she dissappeared all the sudden and me and kt walked out to the lobby and I saw a group of teenagers haning out. I was kidding and I was like, "kt, i bet jackie is totally standing in that circle pretending she knos ppl." and sure enough there was Jackie standing there w/ the teens. I pretty much did die that time. It was all very fun. And btw Jackie is the best person ever. :D <3 her. :D Now Sunday... hmmm I woke up and went back to sleep then woke up again and threw some outfit on the attempted to put on my contacts and failed, then we left and I attempted to put on my contacts in the car and failed. And then we got to church and I attempted to put them on there and failed. Then I prayed REALLY hard and attempted again and succeeded. :D It's amazing all the things God is in charge of that we can tend to forget about. Then after that I helped set up (we went early w/ Dad) and then we had a youth prayer time before the service! It was very refreshing to all get together and pray together. Then after that there was a message preached by Mr. Melinger (our guest speaker) smiles. We stole him from Covenant for a day. It was a very good message for the record tho. Then after it was over, I hung w/ a buncha ppl outside which was great fun. And then ppl left and I was left to tearing down with no girls to keep me company because my darling sister left me. But it was all chill cuz it was. Wow I just now realized my sentences are slowly becoming shorter. So anyway, back to my thrilling life. :) After tear down I was starving cuz I forget to eat breakfast and I do not do well when I forget to eat breakfast. So when we finally got in the car ready to head home, we realized we forgot to tear down a certain room so we had to go back except the doors where locked so we had to call the Janitor to let us in then once we got in he turned the lights out on us. I think he really liked us. jk. if u didn't notice.... ANYWAY after that we finally left and we went to Wawa and got a paper and I got a stomach ache and now I am home writing this feeling quite ill. I think I am getting sick. Oh brilliant. Ahh well life goes on. Well this has been a very long long post and I realize most of you won't read it hence it's leghth which is quite ok with me because I really do undertsnad why. I mean I wouldn't want to spend my glorious Sunday afternoon reading a blog post either. In fact, if you are reading this today (Sunday) you should really go outside because it is quite pretty. So that is how I am going to end this post. Go outside and enjoy the weather. :D

soap operas

Just so ya kno, this post has nothing to do w/ the title. :D (ok, maybe a little but only if u read between the lines....)

So my weekend was somewhat boring compared to other's ppls. So don't expect a thriller of a post here. Just sayin. It started off on Friday like most weekends start off. Except instead of waking up and starting school, I woke up, put on all the coats on I could find, and trudged outside to use a nail gun and saw zaw. funfun. Dad gave us the day off to get ready for the Harvest party, Sounded like a pretty good deal until I realized I would be doing manual labor all day. not.fun. No, it actually wasn't that bad. But I must say, I am very glad I am not a guy! So at like 4 Emma and Caleb came over and helped us finish setting up. But coveniently for us girls, the vaccum wasn't working so we ended up straightening hair. Then ppl started coming and life got interesting. :D See, me and Bailey had a brilliant plan for all the little kiddos and we made up all these super fun games. Excpet we couldn't really play them in the dark and Dad's handy-dandy light broke. So we got some other one that took us like a half hour to set up then finally when we were all set to start our fun little-kiddo games the little kiddos didn't cooperate. So me and Jackie ended up screaming our heads off trying to get their attention and eventually she left me and all failed. After that, I had to watch my little cuzzie for hours on end (he's the cutest) so I didn't really get to hang with my gal friends that much. :( Which was a big giant bummer. Later on we decided to play cops and robbers (which also failed) and I got pretty upset cuz of some certain things. But anyway, after failing at cops and robbers we all played monster which was great fun then we played nu-kum which in my opinion is the dumbest game ever. (mostly cuz we lost) but at least the other team was humble. ;) hehe. So that pretty much sums it up for Friday night, oh yes and after everyone left except us, the Gemmells, Demi's, and Blakes we had all sorts of random physical competitions such as who can do the longest hand-stand, girls push up contest, limbo.. and many more. :D Oh yes and Tal was beast at limbo and beat us all. Then on Saturday we had a sister's date and went out to see 'where the wild things are' which was an interestingly ok movie besides the part where the thing sticks the kid in her mouth. Yes, I won't go into detail. It was pretty nasty. Then we ate lunch at subway (EAT FERSH!!!) and the guy who served us was wearing a rabbit foot on his neck which pretty much spoiled my lunch. (why I notice these things I kno not...) then we walked around and went to five below, dicks sports and other fun stores. dick's sports was actually pretty boring tho. Then we came home and did chores and chilled. Me and Kt were going to go to the Adam's bonfire (or whatever they were doing there) but we couldn't cuz I really don't kno why. It pretty much spoiled my whole entire day. :( Then Sunday came around and I served in Children's ministry, spilled coffee on myself, and dealled with dramatic dealings. Which really frusterated a lot of ppl. The dramatic dealings did, not me. i hope. Then we went home and watched the game (AND THE EAGLES WON!!!!) and Emma chilled at our house. We were planning on baking something but we ended up talking and talking some more. Then Tal called and we all talked. and talked some more. Then Emma went home and my weekend ended.
It was a fun, dramatic, sad, happy, weekend and I was sad for it to end. :( Tomorrow we r having a bg girls prayer mt and I am so siked!!! :D

Today was a good day. I would rate it a 7 out of 10. I did school, did more school and got my contacts! YAY! I got there and they were all nice and like asking me questions and wishing me a happy b-day. And I got this really sweet nice hygentist guy which made my day. :D Once I was done all of their tests and stuff (some of them were not fun. Like the eye puff one, they shoot air in your eye and tell u not to blink, yah try it) I was ready for my fitting. So the really nice hygentist guy taught me how to put on contacts. Except I couldn't get them on. I tried for over a half hour and the poor guy is just sitting there giving me advice. He was like, "It helps if you try not to blink." Right. I didn't notice that. I must have super sensitive eyes or something. :P But after about 40 mins (yes it took that long) I finally got them in. Then I went and we got new glasses (for reading) and me and Mom walked around the mall and I tried on prom dresses at Boscov's. I wish I had a prom to go to. That would be fun. But anyway, once we got home we made dinner and my grandparents and aunt and uncle came over. Ems was like the life of the party (not that there was a party) She was cracking jokes all over the place that were hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing until she re-stated on she told a couple days ago. "Becky, I really appreciate you, I learn a lot from you. I just do everything you don't!" She is to smart-allicky for her own good. :P <3 that child. But after that me and kt took pics and now I am writing this post and after it I am going to bed cuz I have loads of school tomorrow. (yes, life still goes on ever tho u don't want it too) So hope you all enjoyed my boring post and are having a good week

Now back to my life. Well, yesterday was the dissapointment of all times. I went to the Len's Crafter's place to get my contacts and we get there and the the ladies like, well you know what if I tell you what the lady was like, I will probly end up judging her to no end so I won't do that. But basically someone messed up somewhere and i can't get my contacts till Tues. :( sobs. But it's ok, cuz that's my b-day so it shall be fun. :D SO that is my life right now, oh i'm going bowling today with Tal and Em (yayay!!!) and I can't wait cuz it will be great fun and I have a lot to talk about. :P

Ok so I am (hopefully) going fabric shopping this weekend!!! SO siked. Anyway, I am debating what sort of fabrics to get cuz I do have sort of a tiny-meenie budget and i can't exactly get everything I would like to get! So I am looking to you readers for fashion advice. I have all these clothing ideas swirling in my head and I don't know which I should start with. I am thinking I could make a smart Christams dress, or maybe a cute Sunday dress, or should I go all our and just do an over-the-top fashionable dress I would never have occasion to wear??? I was going to draw out all my ideas and post them along with this post but I have NO time for that so I just looked at some of my favorite store websites (Ae, Anthrapologie, Target..) and found some stuff similar to what I was planning on making.. so here are some pics and my notes/ critique :D




So I like this one but I would make it not in black, and I'd most likely choose a fabric that's not stretchy, more like a cotton rather than a spandaxy-silk. Or whatever u would call this?? I really love the pleats on it ho, and the detail on the top.



I really <3 this dress. I was planning on doing something like this, a baby-doll v-neck w/ buttons. But obviously I'd have to make it modest (i'd probly make it a higher cut, or do some kind of other fabric to cover the assets)



This is the Christmas dress I was talking about. This particular one doesn't look that christamsy but if I did decided to do something like this I'd probly put some red in it somewhere and make it higher. (so i wouldn't be in cleaveland city) I'm not sure about straps tho, I might just get a sweater to go over it or something.


Ok, so this is my least favorite out of all of them. I like the idea a ton, but how they made this one just fits all wrong. Anyway, this is something I'd like wear I don't know where but I think it's cute and fashionable and be fun to make. :D

I know that that is not a word, but who said I can't make up own words? I mean, this is my blog, right? So i'm posting about my life. I probly won't be posting at all this week cuz school loves to take up all my time. :P So i'll waste the free time I have now doing a post. :P

on Friday Mom went on a prayer retreat so we sort of did ahhemm math and called it a day. We then wasted the rest of the day eating junk food and watching movies. (the junk food wasn't that junky tho) It was the best. :P Us girls (me, kt and Ems) stayed till like 1:30. On Sat, I woke up at 12. (<3 doing that) and cleaned the house and did chores and all that jazz. Then Mom came home and we went to the Haye's for pizza and then went to cc. I love God so much. :D He is so faithful. And it was lot's of fun playing find the glowsticks in the dark. Or whatever you would want to call that. Then, Emma and Martha slept over and we did toning exercises and talked. :D (<3 those girls) On Sun, they came to church w/ us and me and Martha served for like a 1/2 hour then they kicked us out cuz we weren't needed. But it worked out cuz Martha wanted to see the message anyhow. So after that we dropped the girls off home, ate lunch, and then Dad taught me how to use a nail gun and electric saw. I think I enjoy it a little to much. It is seriously very entertaining. For the rest of the afternoon I help Dad build this trailer/hay ride thing we are making for our Harvest get together. :D It is turning out to be really heavy tho (we added benches on it) so we might not be able to use it. :( Ah well. After that, me and Dad rode up to Havertown (what was supposed to be a 40 min drive turned into a 2 hr one) and bought a trampoline that someone was selling off craigslist! It is like legit big and fun and big. I can't wait to use it!!! Then we all went out to dinner at the Cheescake factory as a family with a gift card Dad got for being the function support leader. I <3 cheesecake as all of you should know so I was in my glory. They had at least 30 flavors. :D wow is right. So now I am back home and stuffed full of cheesecake. I would be jumping on the trampoline to burn the calories, but we haven't set it up yet hence there being no light outside and it being freezing. Me and the girls decided to wake up at 6 tomorrow to put it up tho. :D

So that is my life as of now.... oh yes and the Phillies are winning their game 6-0!!!! :D I usually hate baseball (football players are so much cuter) hehe jk. But I am watching because they r doing well.

p.s. Hopefully I'll be posting some sewing stuff soon... I am waiting to go fabric shopping and then I am planning on making myself a dress. :D

My weekend (so far)

Well I thought you'd all like to hear about how interesting my weekend was. (or is so far) O know you are probly thinking, "Why the shizzle is Becky posting two posts in a day? What is her Problem?" My explanation for that is I am waiting for my laundry to get done and I have time to kill. So bear with me, I promise this will be interesting.

So it all started out on Friday, when Martha came over. lot's happened but I decided to share just one very dramatically inticing story. :) So we were having a normal time (this is like at 4:30 in the afternoon) and Mom and Kt weren't some, and Dad was at work, so Me and M's were watching Emily. We had just finished making dinner (we had pizza) and me and Martha went outside to talk for a little bit. EMily was in a really good mood and was being annoying so of course I was totally being mean and snapping at her. After talking to Martha, I called Ems out (Em's is Emily, M's is Martha) out to apoligize to her. So she comes out and then all the sudden her eyes become as big as saucers and she is like "OH NO!!!" Me and M's were like what is wrong Emily, and she's like "I locked all the doors!" Apparently she was 'playing a trick' on us and decided to lock us out of the house but it wasn't till she came outside and shut the door she realized she locked herself out too. So Everyone was panicking and I was trying to act like a normal, calm, mature babysitter. (and failing) I might mention we didn't have a phone, and we still had to put the pizzas in the oven before Mom got home. So I go around the house and start checking the windows. Wonder of wonders, they are ALL locked! Then I remember that I had opened out bedroom window to throw out a stink bug earlier. So I propose the idea of getting a ladder and climbing up through that window. Martha, being the smart person she is, said absolutely not Becky, forget it. Emily was still all panicky and was just following whatever M's said. So I decided I have a decision to make. I could either climb up through our window or wait two hours till Mom got home. If you know me, you know that I went straight to the garage and started pulling out Dad's gigantic ladder. It was like a million pounds but the girls wouldn't help me cuz they were still trying to convince me not to do it. I eventually got the ladder up and started climbing when I sort of felt it slipping (dont worry, i didn't die) So I make the girls hold it (they hadn't been before cuz they were all freaked out) then I started up again. I must admit, it was very scary especially when you get to the top and have to lean over to try and open the window. It's not a fun experience. But anyway, I ended up getting in the window and we were all happy and thrilled and I kept thinking how stupid what I just did was, and how irresponsible it was, and how it could have turned out very badly. And then dad get's home and we tell him, and he's like "good job!" I was a little dissappointed he wasn't flaber-ghasted I would do such a stupid thing (he knows me to well) But oh well. So that is my incredibly dramatic story. It was a little more dramatic when it happned, now it seems sort of boring but I wrote about it anyway.

Gosh I have already written a book and my laundry is probly done, so I should go. But before I go I just want to apoligize to Phoebe!!!!! I'm sooo sorry I killed your hand. It was totally my fault. cries. Please forgive. :P I'm so darn clumsy I like kicked her hand doing a flip on the trampoline; Not a fun experience. Anyway I really need to go get my laundry. Rachael Pope.

Well, most of you don't know this girl but let me tell you, she is one of the very best examples in my whole entire life. No joke. She lives for God, not herself, she strives to bless and honor others, and is always the first one to give up. I've known her since I was about 7 or 8. We were next-door neighbors at our old house. I can remember the first time I met her. Me and Kt were taking turns on the scooter and it was Kt's turn and Rach was swinging on her swingset out back. Kt told me she'd give me a turn on the swing if I went up and said hi to her. I was a very shy little girl at the time, so I did one of those 'hi's' where the person doesn't here you and then went back to scootering. Later that day (or week or something) she invited us over her house to see her birds. It was very awkward at first but then we became amazing friends and have been very close ever since. (Rach and kt, i know I probly got this story all mixed up, please don't kill me) But back to how great she is :D... there are so many things I could say, but since this paragraph is long already, I'm just gonna say I have learned alot from this girl and I continue to every day! <3 you rach! Anyway in the... hold on.. hmmm..... 7 years I've known Rachael you can imagine we've had some fun times. :) Just to pick a few... Creepy Mr. Calvy, syrup in the snow, rollerblading, walking up to old sproul, breaking my collarbone, her B-day paries, almost all-ngiht sleep-overs and many more that are to hilarious to explain in one post. :)

excuses excuses

Well I know my posts have been getting more and more boring. It's not my fault, as of now I lead a very boring life. Actually, not really. But anyway, I am posting right now to give an excuse. I have a bible quiz meet on Saturday (don't feel like explaining) and I have to study all day tomorrow (yipes) and Marth is sleeping over tomorrow night ( :D ) so if I don't get to do my 'friends friday' tomorrow, please forgive. Not that anyone who is reading this cares, but i thought i might as well say something. Just cuz. Then again, if I do get to do my friends post thing this would be useless. But let's not go there right now. I'm rambling. Thanks for reading, although you most likely could be using your time more wisely. Just like I (coughcough) could.

Fun news. I am starting art lessons w/ Mrs. Gemmell! I'm so excited. My first lessons is like in a week or two. (!!!) YAAAAAYYYY!!!! I know that was random, but I must spread my joy somewhere. :P

Friends

Wow God is so good to give me amazing friends. :) I love all of them so super much. Today I am officialy making friends friday on my blog. Brilliant, I know. So I am going to pick a couple of my close friends and write something I admire/appreciate in them. (ill do this next week to so if your not on here and are devestated, no worries you probly will be.) It's going to be hard keeping it relatively not-as-long-as-a-novel so wish me luck....

Martha Machowski: <3 She is the best friend ever. We have known each other since I was like.. hmmm... 3 or 4 and we've been best buddies ever since. I know her in and out, and love her. She is godly, kind, generous, smart, sarcastic, and yet still manages to be utterly and hopelessly gullible. (how she does it, i know not) I have a million and one funny stories with her. (pouring ice cream on kt, seeing certain people at Target, rubber rats, prank nights, heehee, M's, remember that one where kt and Emma hung something ahhemm in the window and got in big trouble for it?? fun times) Also, she is always there for me. Whenever I am having a hard day or need prayer for something, I always call her. And she listens to me even if I am making no sense. Even after going on this church plant, me and her are as close as ever. She is a wonderful example to me in so many different areas, and I have learned an awful lot from her. <3

Talyn Demi: Well. Daisies. This girl is the best. I just got to know her this past year cuz we went on the church plant together! :) I didn't think it was possible to become such good friends with someone in such a short time, but it is. There are so many things I appreciate/admire in her it's sort of impossible to pick just one. So i'll try and fit as many as possible in a reasonable amount of space. :D First, she loves God. She just got saved at Youth Camp (!!!) and whenever I am around her, I am convicted in areas where I can grow, she is such a great example to me. I have grown a lot in my relationship with God since I've known her. Next, she is so sweet and kind. And tremendously fun. There is not one time I am with her that I don't have a hilarious story to go with it.. to name a few.... falling in mud puddles, getting paint in my hair (that still hasn't come out), having extremely confusing (oh, and embarrassing) chats, dying laughing on the hammock, the fire alarm, outreaches... and many more. She is such a wonderful, encouraging friend and i am so thankful to know her!!! (and we need to have a sleep-over soon)

Emma Blake: Oh dear. Where shall I start? With Emma it is very hard to pick a place to start. I just got to know her recently too, because of the churchplant (yes, the church plant is totally awesome). But, it really seems like I've known her all my life. Anyway, there are lot's of things that describe her but honest, genuine, and caring are the ones that come first to my mind. She cares a lot about other people, and that is apparent in how she acts, and what she says. She is such an easy person to talk to, and I so appreciate that in her. Also, one thing I <3 about her is that she doesn't butter up the truth, but tells it to you frankly. ("Becky, you need to lost weight." heeheee. jk) but seriously, she is so very genuine. We know a lot about each other's lives and I always feel comfortable telling her stuff. One more thing.. she just got saved this year at yc too!!!! (<3 youth camp) and I can see her desire to grow with God. :) Now for the funny stuff (no, I didn't forget it) hmm... dancing to Taylor Swift, hanging upside down for 15 mins (for real, we did that) talking about who's going to come to our funeral, disscussing life (and GP), making umm cookies, going on walks, soap-opera-like conversations, outreaches, and oh so many more.

What a mighty God we serve!

"Between sinners, and the wrath of God, stands the cross." Mr. Lynch said this in one of his recent messages ( a couple weeks ago i think) and I was just thinking about it today. How amazing is that? God, who is perfect in every way gave up His one and ONLY son for us!!!!!!! How great is God's mercy and love that He would do that for us??

This is a simple illustration I did to what Mr. Lynch said. It didn't turn out quite like how I wanted it. For instance, I sort of wanted my clouds to look somewhat intimidating, and not like puffy meatballs. And my sinner turned out to be a big-calved sillutte. But whatever. Let me know any criticism you have!

The fire alarm: the true story. :)

Ok so Isaac and Bailey both posted about what happened on Sunday, so I figured I'd share my side of the story as well. :)

Well, we had this amazing basketball show thing where hip hop and his hare raisers team came and did flips and threw t-shirts and it was fun. But anyway, they left confetti all over the gym so afterwards, a couple of us stayed and cleaned it up. So a couple of kids were playing basketball while we were cleaning and they apparently (not sayin who cuz i really dont know) hit some door alarm and it started beeping. But it wasn't loud or anything. So we finished cleaning and I went to the auditorium where a bunch of ppl were playing songs and hanging out. In the meantime, the janitor came to the gym and started fixing (or attempting to) fix the door alarm/whatever it was. Then, he by accident set off the fire alarm, and right as Jackie started to sing the whole building started beeping and flashing lights. It was pretty dramatic. So then, Jackie and Isaac jump off the stage and start sprinting towards the door to safety. It was pretty hilarious. I was with a bunch of my friends and so we left the building too, and 2 mins later i went back in to get kt, who was calmly playing the piano with Caleb R. I cracked up. :D Then like 15 mins later the firemen/women (one of them was a girl, i know that cuz Dad called them 'fellows' and asked who was in charge and one of them said 'i am' and it turned out her name was emily. So she was definitely a her) anyway i'm thanking God it wasn't a real fire cuz we would have been dead it took them so long to show up. But that is my side of the story. Hope you enjoyed.

Yipeee!!!! Ok, so I just heard some VERY exciting news!!!!! Jeff Garcia is back and playing for Phillie!!!!! Yay!!! As far as I know, Mcnabb has a broken rib but still wants to try and play next week (don't think it's happening) so we have plenty of qb's to cover for him. I'm hoping Reed puts Garcia as a our 1st string, but i'm not really sure what he's doing yet. He might use Kolb, which would be fine too. So anyway, i just had to let you all know the happy news!!!!!!!! :)

God's sovereignty

Well, as i think i already mentioned in a previous post way back when our cat is missing. She has been gone for a week, and we pretty much figured she was gone for good. We've had her for about 9 1/2 years and I love her a lot. She was my favorite. She used to let us (well, with a little hissing and meowing) dress her up in doll clothes and drag her around like a baby doll. She caught many a mouse for us as well. :)

Well anyway just last night (when we were pretty positive she was gone) Mom heard a meowing in the front yard. So I went out and found her in the bushes. She was really freaked out though and when I tried to pick her up, she skittered away from me. I was practically kicking myself for not trying harder cuz after that she ran off in the dark and didn't make any noise. After about an hour or so of looking and calling for her we gave up and left some tuna on the front step in case she came back. I was still mad at myself for not getting her so I decided to sit on the front steps for awhile till she came back. Nothing happened and I realized it wasn't up to me whether we found her or not. So I started praying and praying. I got myself a pillow and blanket and was determined to sit on the front steps the whole time until she showed up again. But Dad put a stop to that quick and said I could have another half hour. So I kept praying and praying until I heard her meow. Everyone else was in bed so I creeped into the neighbor's yard with some tuna. She was under this giant pine tree that looked pretty freaky in the dark, so i got on my stomach and slithred under it (yup, i probly looked like a not-so-right-in-their-mind maniac) and grabbed her. Then I brought her in and we all showered her with attention. (and locked our dog in a room). It was a very happy night!!!

But anyway, I just wanted to share that story because it was very encouraging to me to see how God can work in even these little small ways! :)

Well I got this pair of shoes from the thrift store for 5 bucks and they were sort of boring so i decided to splatter them with paint. Pretty weird I know. :P It was just one of those whims you get while reading history. Anyway let me know what you guys think!

Well, I have a confession to make and a question to ask. First, my confession is that I s-t-i-n-k when it comes to fashion. To start, I don't really have any fashionable clothes. So I'm not exactly learned on the subject, plus I seriously don't think it makes a difference if your jeans are skinny on your calves or billowy. I mean who in the world notices??? Apparently some people do. Not that I care, but I figure if I want to keep sewing and ever be succesful selling my clothes, they can't be from the previous decade. :P So, that's why I have an amazing sister who can tell me whether they are a hit or an umm... absolute miss. Just yesterday, I was looking through my old clothes and came upon a little-girl plaid skirt. I was planning on making a cute plaid jumper/shirt to go over jeans out of it but decided to concult my sister first. This is her, "umm, a jumper? No Becky don't make a jumper." So I decided to make a vest. She thought it was a silly idea since no one wears plaid vests but I had my mind set on it. So here are some pictures. I'd really love for some critisism, if it looks horrible, please just tell me! :)

I just realized I haven't posted any pictures of crafts or sewing stuff for awhile, (which was the main point of having this blog) so, i'll post a picture of a watercolor I did for our room. It's of nothing in particular, just nothing. :)

September???

Well, school has finally started. I am not enjoying getting up early in the freezing cold, but besides that, I'm actually pretty happy to get back into a routine. Lot's has happened in the part like month and life has been sooo crazy it's nice to have it all behind me. I'm sick and tired of packing things, painting things, (yeah check out my hair), staining things, weeding weeds, unpacking things, decorating (that was nerve-wracking!), cleaning, painting some more and sleeping on air mattresses. I don't want to move again in my life until I get married and have my own house. Then I won't have to live with nasty looking wallpaper.. I don't think I'll go into that right now though. Let's see, what's new? School, if that counts as one. I'm a freshman this year ( Yay!) and enjoying it so far. The work doesn't seem to be all that much harder as it is made out to be, so far anyway. Well, church has been going really well, and I have gotten plenty of practice evangelizing cuz we have had an outreach pretty much every week. It's been lot's of fun! It's amazing how many people there are out there that don't know God. It's a sobering thing to think about, but also encouraging in the sense that God can use this church to save many people. We started care group, which has been really fun. I personally think we have the best care group ever. :) We're going to the Demi's. Oh, and I am really enjoying our new house. :) It is perfect for our family, and only ten minutes from church! Well, actually, it is perfect except for the wallpaper. Which will be fixed. Lord-willing. I think it's my pet-peive, old-fashioned wallpaper. Every time I looked at it I want to scream. Seriously, it's that bad. Oh yes, I just thought if something else that is new. My sister got her permit. Yipes! No, jk she is a great driver so far, even if she stops a little suddenly. She is also applying to get a job at the orchard right up the street. Lucky duck. I can't wait to grow up. Anyway, nothing much is new except compass starts next week! Yay! I'm so excited. :) I miss it.

As an ending for this post, I have a prayer request. Well, actually two. First, pray that we find our cat. She is missing and we're all very sad. Next, please pray that the Eagles do better in real football. Cuz they aint doing so hot in pre-season.

I painted my room yesterday. It looks pretty fabulous and I love the color we picked. I have a secret for why it looks so fabulous though and I thought I'd share it with you all. :) Well, there's this drop-dead brilliant invention called an edger. Now a lot of people know what an edger is and have probly used it their entire lives for painting but I just recently found out about it and I will never, ever go back to taping again. It's this awesome thing that you use for the cutting-in of a room instead os taping everything. It's super hard to explain but it works amazingly and it is ten times faster than taping. So I would def recommend it. :)

Anyway, right now my life has been pretty crazy and I have found no time whatsoever to do anything but what I have scheduled to do. In other words, I have no free time. besides these two minutes that I am taking to post this, and I actually have to leave in 5 minutes to go somewhere. :P Life has been absolute non-stop. So please if you think about it could you pray that God gives me grace to get through all of this??? Thank! :) Ok, nevermind that five minutes has turned into one and I now have to go. :P Hope you are all enjoying your summer.

my week. :)

I just got back from youth camp 09, which was the best ever. :) It was a very encouraging, fruitful, and convicting time. God was so faithful to answer my prayers, and so many came to know him this week!!!! It was amazing. :) I got baptized this year, which was one of the most powerful things that has ever happened to me. God was so faithful to bring encouraging prophesies and I felt very blessed by the support and encouragement I got from my family and friends. :) What an merciful savior God is to save me, a wretched sinner who deserves wrath! He s so amazing!

I also loved loved my team!!!! I was on Blue (fear the bear) and we had the best leaders ever!! It was such a great team, and God was so great to us, he moved in everyone's life in some way last week. A couple people from my team got saved (!!!!) and I got to see God work in other people's lives as well. :) It was absolutely amazing. I also suppose I could mention that we did win. :) Owww-ooowww! Although I must hand it to Black as well, they did awesome and I must congrat them on second. :) And of course I have to give a shout out to our bff's, the purple team. ;) Yah purple! But seriously that wasn't the highlight for me, we just all had a great time working together as a team and experiencing God's spirit through discussions and the messages, winning was just like a cherry on top of it all.

Also, we had our very first Brandywine Grace meeting today!!!! It was amazing, and Mr. Lynch did a wonderful job on the message, I am so looking forward to next week! It was kind of a sad day too though, because we went back to Covenant for youth Sunday and I had to say good bye to my friends. Who I will miss so very dearly.

Well I must wrap this up because I have mountains of laundry to fold, but if you do think about it, please pray for our family, cuz we are moving to my favorite house this Saturday!! How exciting!!!!

I had to post a picture of my pathetic attempt at a teddy bear's tee-shirt. haha. The letters are a disaster. They got all crooked. Oh well. Life goes on. :) As you can see, this guy (Willie) is a blue-team-fan! :D

house update... :(

Well, today was supposed to be a big day for us. We were going to have a new house by now. But the not-so-young-and-chipper guy who's doing the septic couldn't get it done by today soo.... we have to wait till next Thursday!!! I am very upset but God is still sovereign over everything and I know he has this all planned out even if I can't see it!

So I know my posts are getting less and less interesting but I had a very interesting whim the other day and decided I wanted to make a teddy bear. I finally convinced Mom to let me have one of our old bleach-stained towels and his nose is made out of one of those ecno-friendly grocery bags. :) I found buttons for his eyes at Joanne's for 25 cents! I was pretty excited. So here he is.. I still need a name for him so if any of you creative people think of anything, please comment! :)
